UCA Women Win Event
Bobbitt, from Rogers, survived an opening-round 83 and came back with rounds of 71 and 70 and finished tied with Lamar's Linda Persson. Bobbitt and Persson both birdied the first playoff hole before Persson missed a three-foot par putt and Bobbitt nailed her two-footer for the win.
UCA placed three others in the Top 10 as senior Rebecca Sorensen and sophomore Gemma Hardie tied for third. Sorensen shot 74-77-76_227 and Hardie shot 74-80-73_227. Brooke Braun tied for sixth at 75-79-74_228, while Sara Hillman tied for 13th (83-76-74_233).
UCA's Sanna Vihervaara, competing as an individual, shot 81-80-82_243 and tied for 25th place.
UCA won the team title by 22 strokes over Lamar. UCA shot 306-303-291 for a 900 total. Lamar was next at 922, followed by McNeese State I (934), McLennan CC (942), Sam Houston State (948), Stephen F. Austin (989), McNeese State II (1,000) and Centenary (1,046).
